Hair Chain- DIY Tutorial

Its been so nice the last couple of mornings here in my new city of Charlotte. Unfortunately  I have been sick so I haven't gotten a chance to enjoy it or post lately. I am feeling better so I hope to take advantage of the weather and get back to blogging. I am totally and completely in love with the hair chain trend. It is such an easy way to add a touch of fun for your look either in the day or at night.

You can choose to have the party in the back!

One of my favorite DIY blogger Jenni over at I Spy DIY has a great tutorial about how to create your own hair chain! Just think about all the possibilities if you use your imagination.

What is your take on the hair chain trend?

An Embellished London Spring/Summer 2013

The House of Holland added some sparkle to this khaki embellished beanie, so not only will it  keep your heads warm this spring but also add some glam!

Designers went all out during London's Spring/ Summer 2013 runway shows, when it came to floral and jeweled embellishments. Check out the intricate jeweled details.

Who says only your jewelry can shine. One of the top trends thus far at London Fashion week in metallic  finishes on high-shine leather and  metallic vests.

London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013- The devil is in the details.

Meadham Kirchhoff  Spring 2013 Runway Show Jewels:

The Meadham Kirchhoff show, was an over-the-top girly mix of  lace, bows, curls, body jewels, and all things sparkly. The models were not only adorned with crystal embellishments on their skin and nails, but they wore the type of costume jewelry that makes you ready to jump up and play dress up.  This is a time when the idea less is more should be thrown out the window for good reason!

Fall 2012 Jewelry Trend Alert

It's time to thrown the less is more mantra out of the window! This fall it is all about layering on more, more, and more! Take your out fit to the next level by adding a statement piece fit for the royal full of colorful gem stones.

I usually am not big on sunglasses but these Baroque encrusted sunglasses make me want to have a fun in the sun day! They are romantically adorned with gold roses that make you feel like Shakespeare himself place each flower on them. The over sized earrings below are decadent!

Get in the game by adding some baroque inspired pieces:

Add a little Gritty Glam to your look by adding pieces that provide edge.

Other fall fall trends include mixing metal. Don't be shy about mixing your sliver, gold and even copper together in one look. Now we don't want you to go overboard and drown in the ocean of tackiness but mix your metals in a way that not only compliments your  outfit that day but is also eye catching. Customizing your jewelry with one-of- a kind pieces that shows your distinct personality or personal interest is a hot trend for the fall.

Lover Girl

Who wouldn't love anything that sparkles, shines, or provides a unique touch to their attire. I am simply a jewelry and accessory addict! A girl like me will hunt high and low for that piece that makes you sigh in relief that you found it. I do it all: boutiques, vintage shops, and diy's when it comes to the jewels. I am all about the gems(loves these colors)

Metals (Rose, White, and Sliver Oh My!)

Beads

Spikes and Studs ( this is how you edge up an outfit! Try stacking them with other bracelets)

And of course a girl always needs her set of Pearls !

You name it I love it!  What do you love?

Hello World!

I am a lover of anything and everything that sparkes, shines, or provides edge. I have long been wanting to start a blog and while it is fun and exciting for me it is also a bit scary! I work full time in a very structured medical setting  in clinical research, but my alter ego is fly by the seat of my pants Jewelry Designer! So what better way to tap into my super powers than blogging about jewelry. This blog will not be limited to only jewelry as I am also fashioned crazed! Jewelry is considered an ornament, and ornaments are used to decoration. We use our everyday clothes to decorate our bodies to turn into stylish ornaments of our choice.  This blog will also have lifestyle section as I chronicle all the changes in my life. I look forward to this journey! And remember the best accessory a woman can ever wear is her smile!
